UVM Commencement

Overview

UVM engaged Equality to create an innovative, interactive livestream landing page for their annual commencement ceremony. We led the project from concept to execution, ensuring the solution was technically robust and user-focused. The platform features an interactive program where users can swipe through cards representing each division of the college, view livestreams, and access instant replays—all in a seamless, user-friendly experience. This page has been in use for the last five years, becoming a staple for UVM’s commencement.

Business Objective

Before our involvement, UVM’s livestreams were fragmented and lacked organization, with separate Vimeo links distributed on request. UVM tasked us with creating a unified, secure, and reliable platform that centralized all commencement events, making it easy for viewers anywhere in the world to find and stream the relevant ceremonies.

Leadership and Execution

We pitched and secured the contract by presenting a creative vision that resonated with UVM’s goals, strategically assembling a team that was tailored just for their needs. This team included a UI/UX expert designer, a back-end developer, and a technical producer. The landing page was designed in Webflow, and Cloudflare was leveraged for enhanced speed and reliability. The platform was designed with a mobile-first approach, ensuring flawless performance across all devices and browsers. We also integrated Vimeo livestreams directly into the Webflow CMS, allowing for real-time updates and instant replays.
